New Video Ipod

by Admin 12. October 2005 22:10

Today apple released a new video ipod and itunes 6. My only question is, what is the point? Video on the ipod, who needs it! It is appr. a 2 inch display, I have a tv already! Not to mention, do we really need another way to watch tv? People spend too much time watching tv, get a life!

Patrick pointed out to me a cool possibility. If the video ipod can generate out good quality video and sound to a tv, then it could serve as a portable Tivo.

Still, not entirely necessary, but cool.

MS Virtual Server 2005

by Admin 10. October 2005 21:10

I have been working with MS Virtual Server 2005 a lot recently. I must say, overall it is a nice and efficient solution. Although it has some limitations that do not exist in VMWare, for the overall cost it is a good solution.

I am running five servers on one server. The box has a few IDE hard drives, 4 gig of memory and a 2.8 ghz processor. Aside from the memory, it is not an impressive box, but it runs all the servers with surprisingly high performance.
