Lenovo Group Posts 89% Drop in Profit

The Lenovo Group, the world’s No. 3 personal computer maker, said first-quarter profit fell 89% on rising competition from Dell & HP, and costs from cutting jobs at the PC unit it bought from I.B.M.
I don’t know too much about Lenovo as a company; however, this is very concerning. I have long felt that IBM manufactured the best notebook computers for business users and I believe Lenovo has continued that tradition having bought a couple since the sale of that IBM unit. I hope things can be turned around without diminishing the quality of product they provide.
