Dreamweaver CS3 & MSSQL
Posted by Administrator on Nov 24, 2007
I am really disappointed that Adobe’s Dreamweaver CS3 does not at all support connectivity for MSSQL & PHP5 sites or other ADODB connections. Previously the CS2 version supported it through extensions created by Interakt Online which has now been purchased by Adobe.
Interakt provided a free extension for PHP ADODB sites which is not functional with the new version of Dreamweaver and Adobe is not continuing that extension.
An open source project on Source Forge named OpenPHAkt has been created to continue that effort; unfortunately the project is not moving very quickly. It is still only in the planning stages. I would encourage anyone and everyone to do 2 things, first complain to Adobe. This functionality should exist. Second, participate in the project. There are many ways to contribute, you do not need to be a programmer.
Great affordable mac application for capturing video onscreen

I recently had the need to record a video of some computer activity from my computer. I did it using iShowU which is a great video capture application. I was able to quickly and easily record a video of the application and save it as a quicktime movie file in no time.
The application has some nice functionality for setting up recording areas, moving the recording area, etc. It has a decent range of quality and compression settings.
The best part of this application is its price! It is sold for only $20.00 US!
How long has your windows server been running?

That has got to be one of the most difficult questions to answer when running windows servers. Not as obvious as other systems such as Unix or Linux, using a utility called uptime, but just as effective:
net statistics server
From a command line that net command will tell you when the service “server” which depends on “computer browser” where last started (most often with a system restart.

It seems Microsoft is still struggling maintaining a timeline for the release of Windows Vista. When will it ever be available?
