Well, I have been searching for a good drive mirroring solution for working with 2 or more external hard drives. I have recently experienced a few Maxtor One and Maxtor One Touch II failures. Unfortunately, I did not have complete backups or replicas of either drive. As a result I want to start mirroring them.
I have been searching for a way to do this; however, Windows XP does not natively support my object because you cannot convert USB hard drives to dynamic disks. I have not been able to find a hardware i/o card to accomplish RAID mirroring. Consequently, the search now enters the realm of software solutions. I realize I will be sacrificing overall performance, but that cannot be helped.
